Mental Health Awareness Session

Kohat University of Science and Technology (KUST), in collaboration with the District Youth Office Kohat, organized a significant event to raise awareness about mental health. The ceremony marked the official inauguration of the KUST Counselling Centre, a vital initiative aimed at providing mental health support to students and the community. The event was graced by Mr. Naseer Uddin, Vice Chancellor of KUST, as the chief guest, along with Mr. Abdul Akram and Mr. Syed Sajid Shah, the District Youth Officer of Kohat. Students actively participated in the program, performing a stage drama and a tableau that highlighted key mental health issues and the importance of seeking support. The event also featured speeches by the Vice Chancellor, the Deputy Commissioner of Kohat, and the Youth Officer, all emphasizing the critical need for mental health awareness and community involvement. This initiative aims to encourage open discussions, reduce stigma, and enhance mental health resources for young people in the region, ensuring they receive the necessary support to thrive academically and personally.
