Under the Awami Agenda of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and on the special directives of the Deputy Commissioner Dir Upper Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Afridi the District Youth Office Dir Upper, in collaboration with the District Administration and the Directorate of Societies, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Sheringal organized a one week training workshop on “Travel Guide and Hotel Management” at the Main Academic Block of SBBU Sheringal.

The closing and certificate distribution ceremony was held on 21 May 2026 at the Main Academic Block of SBBU Sheringal. Mr. Sher Ali Khan (ADC Relief & HR) and Mr. Murad Khan (District Project Manager, SRSP) attended the event as Chief Guests. In their remarks they stated that youth are the most valuable asset of any nation and the guarantee of a bright future. They also highlighted that students can earn a respectable income through professions related to travel guiding and tourism.

Dr. Wajid Raza delivered a comprehensive session on travel guiding, Dr. Fazli Haleem spoke on hotel management and Dr. Juma Muhammad elaborated on eco-tourism. Special guest Mr. Nomi Khan provided guidance on domestic travel and registration procedures. More than 60 students were awarded participation certificates.

The primary objective of this training program was to equip young people with professional skills in the fields of tourism and hotel management, enable them to secure dignified employment opportunities and effectively utilize their potential to promote tourism activities in the region.

At the conclusion of the ceremony District Youth Officer Mr. Shehzad Tariq presented souvenirs and gifts to the chief guests and other distinguished participants.
