On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Karak Mr Asad Sarwar District Youth Officer Karak successfully organise One-Day Seminar on Women’s Property Rights & Protection Against Harassment Held at Khushal Khan Khattak University, Karak

The main objective was to raise awareness about legal rights and promote a safer, more equitable society for women.

The seminar featured Ms. Zunera Baz Khan, LLB (University of London), Senior Legal Associate and representative of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council, as the keynote speaker. In her insightful address, she highlighted the legal framework surrounding women’s property rights in Pakistan and emphasized the importance of safeguarding women against harassment in both public and professional environments. She also discussed practical legal remedies available to women and encouraged greater awareness and utilization of legal protections.

The session was effectively moderated by Ms. Warda Ali, a student of BS English at the university, who ensured smooth coordination and active engagement throughout the seminar.

Faculty members and students participants appreciated the informative and impactful session, which fostered meaningful discussion on critical social and legal issues affecting women.
