Under the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Upper Dir Naveed Akbar a program to celebrate International Women’s Day 2026 was organized by the District Youth Office Dir Upper, in collaboration with Muslim Hands and the District Administration Upper Dir on 8 March 2026 at Mind Spark Language and Coaching Academy Upper Dir.

International Women’s Day is celebrated to recognize the achievements, contributions and rights of women in all fields of life.

The program started with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an followed by the National Anthem, speeches and tableaus . Students also set up stalls displaying handmade items and sketches highlighting women’s achievements.

Mr. Rohail Abbas welcomed all the guests and participants. More than 100 students participated in the event. Mr. Sher Ali Khan the Chief Guest spoke about the importance of International Women’s Day and highlighted the vital role of women in national development.

Mr. Inam Ullah Khan Project Manager of Muslim Hands introduced his project and assured the audience of continued support for empowering female students on every platform.

Mr. Murad Khan District Program Manager SRSP thanked the District Youth Officer and Muslim Hands for organizing and celebrating this important day.

Other distinguished guests included Mr. Zaryab Khan Mr. Luqman Adil Mr. Zohaib Jan Ms. Madina Ikram and Ms. Sumaira Khan.

At the end of the program certificates and cash prizes were distributed among the participants while shields and gifts were presented to the guests and other prominent contributors.
