The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Youth Policy 2026 provides a 10-year roadmap (2026–2036) to empower young people through improved education, employment, engagement, and environmental action under the “4E” framework. Building on the 2016 policy, it addresses current challenges such as gender inequality, the digital divide, climate risks, mental health, and inclusion of newly merged districts, ensuring that all youth, especially those most vulnerable, can contribute to sustainable development and prosperity in the province.
A panel discussion featuring Mr. Nouman Mujahid, Ms. Rabia Pasha, Mr. Malik Imran Ahmad, and Mr. Zubair Khattak (Deputy Director Youth Affairs) enabled youth participants to raise questions and share perspectives regarding the draft policy. The panel addressed key concerns and reaffirmed the importance of youth participation in shaping policy outcomes.
Distinguished participants included Mr. Athar Iqbal, Programme Management Analyst (PD & AY), UNFPA; Ms. Atifa Yousafzai, Assistant Director of Youth Affairs; Mr. Usman, District Youth Officer Peshawar; Mr. Sajid Afridi from the District Youth Office Khyber; representatives from universities across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; and other officials from the Directorate of Youth Affairs and district offices.
More than 200 youth participants submitted suggestions and feedback on the draft policy, which will be reviewed jointly by the Directorate of Youth Affairs and UNFPA. Valuable recommendations will be incorporated into the final version of the policy.
The draft Youth Policy has been placed on the Directorate of Youth Affairs website for public consultation. Youth and stakeholders are encouraged to review the document and submit their comments and suggestions via email by February 13, 2026.
