Under the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner Dir Upper Mr. Naveed Akbar and the Director, Directorate of Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Nauman Mujahid. a special program was organized on 5th February 2026 by the District Youth Office Dir Upper in collaboration with the District Administration Dir Upper at Modern English and Vocational Institute Dir Upper to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day.

The purpose of observing Kashmir Solidarity Day is to express unwavering support and solidarity with the oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir to raise awareness about their just struggle for freedom, peace, and human rights and to reaffirm that the people of Pakistan stand with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters until justice is achieved.

During the program students actively participated by presenting Naat, Qirat, Milli Naghma, Urdu and English speeches and by creating photos and sketches depicting solidarity with the people of Kashmir. These creative activities conveyed a strong message that Pakistan stands united with Kashmir. More than 20 students participated in various events.

Mr. Imran Khan expressed his sincere thanks to the District Administration Dir Upper for supporting this noble initiative. Mr. Salman Hastam Additional Assistant Commissioner Dir graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address he highlighted the importance of Kashmir Solidarity Day and appreciated the students efforts and dedication in expressing solidarity with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters.

Mr. Shehzad Tariq District Youth Officer Dir Upper addressed the students and emphasized that their role is very important. He encouraged them to use education ,social media and peaceful dialogue to highlight the Kashmir issue at national and international levels.

Other distinguished guests included Mr. Ilyas Mr. Luqman Adil Mr. Ibrar Wardag Mr. Mubarak Zeb Mr. Arshad Khan and Mr. Zohaib Jan. At the end of the ceremony certificates and gifts were distributed among the participants while shields were presented to the chief guest and other prominent guests in recognition of their valuable contributions.
