One-Day Awareness Workshop on Prevention of Extremism and Incitement on Digital Plateforms on 22-01-2026
The Directorate of Youth Affairs, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, organized a one-day awareness workshop for tribal youth focusing on the prevention of extremism and incitement on digital platforms. The workshop aimed to sensitize young participants to the growing challenges of hate speech, misinformation, and extremist narratives circulating on social media and other online forums.
During the session, participants were briefed on effective strategies to identify, counter, and report hate content, while also understanding the legal and social consequences of spreading harmful material online. Special emphasis was placed on the responsible use of digital platforms and the role of youth in promoting peace, tolerance, and mutual respect in society.
Furthermore, the workshop encouraged participants to actively contribute toward a positive and accurate portrayal of tribal communities on social media by sharing constructive narratives, cultural values, and success stories. The initiative highlighted the importance of digital literacy and civic responsibility, empowering tribal youth to become ambassadors of harmony and positive change in the digital space.
