A seminar on the topic “Role of Youth in Climate Change” was organized by the District Youth Office Torghar at Government High School Mera Mada Khel under the directions of the Director Youth Affairs Mr. Nouman Mujahid and Deputy Commissioner Torghar. The event aimed to raise awareness among the youth and local community regarding the pressing issue of climate change and to highlight the important role that young people can play in addressing environmental challenges.

A large number of students, youth, teachers, and local community members participated in the seminar with great enthusiasm. The District Education Officer Torghar, Mr. Muhammad Ashraf, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome address from the District Youth Officer Torghar, who highlighted the role and responsibilities of youth in combating climate change. He emphasized the need for youth participation in environmental protection campaigns, tree plantation drives, and awareness programs to create a sustainable future.

The District Education Officer, Mr. Muhammad Ashraf, in his comprehensive speech, elaborated on the causes and effects of climate change and urged the students and young people to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. He appreciated the efforts of the District Youth Office for organizing such a meaningful event in collaboration with local institutions.

Other speakers, including social activists and local community representatives, also shared their views and stressed collective efforts to mitigate climate-related issues in the region.

At the end of the seminar, shields and certificates were distributed among the participants, guests, and organizers. The District Youth Officer presented a shield to the Chief Guest, acknowledging his valuable presence and support.

The event concluded with prayers for peace, prosperity, and a clean, green environment in the district and across the country.
