On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Dir Upper, Mr. Naveed Akbar, and Director, Directorate of Youth Affairs Peshawar, Dr. Nouman Mujahid, a five-day “Communication Skills and Confidence Building Workshop” was successfully organized by Modern English Language Academy Dir in collaboration with the District Administration and the District Youth Office Dir Upper.

The workshop concluded today with a certificate distribution ceremony held at the Modern English Language Academy Dir. More than 50 students were awarded certificates in recognition of their successful participation.

During the workshop, the guest speaker Mr. Imran Khan comprehensively covered key topics including body language and voice control, active listening and empathy, clear and confident speaking, building self-confidence, real-life practice, and continuous improvement.

Mr. Ilyas Ahmad (Additional Assistant Commissioner, HQ Dir) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address, he highlighted the importance of effective communication skills and self-confidence for youth development, assuring the participants of the District Administration’s full support in such positive initiatives.

Mr. Shehzad Tariq, District Youth Officer Dir Upper, briefed the participants about the mandate, role, and objectives of the Youth Office in the district. He also announced that similar workshops will soon be organized in all tehsils of Dir Upper, and informed that various free technical and vocational training programs for deserving students will be launched in the near future.

An interactive question-and-answer session was also held, during which students expressed their gratitude to the District Youth Office for organizing the workshop and requested for more such capacity-building opportunities in the future.

Other distinguished guests including Mr. Seemab Ali Khan, Mr. Sohail Khan, Mr. Luqman Adil, Mr. Zohaib Jan, and Miss Laiba also attended the ceremony.

The event concluded with the presentation of gifts and shields of appreciation to the guests and other prominent contributors.
