The grand inauguration ceremony of the **Inter-School Sports & Literary Competitions 2026** was held in Lower Chitral with great enthusiasm and participation, marking the beginning of a district-wide initiative aimed at promoting sportsmanship, intellectual growth, creativity, and healthy competition among students.

The event is jointly organized by the **District Education Office, District Youth Office Lower Chitral, District Administration Lower Chitral, and District Sports Office Lower Chitral.**

The competitions will be conducted across the entire district, providing students from different schools and educational institutions with opportunities to showcase their talents, abilities, and potential. Alongside various sports activities, the literary competitions will feature **13 different categories**, offering young minds a platform to demonstrate their creativity, knowledge, communication skills, and literary excellence.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Mr. Abdus Salam Sb, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Lower Chitral, as the Chief Guest.

Among the distinguished participants were the District Police Officer, District Education Officer, District Youth Officer, District Sports Officer, Civil Defence Officer, Director Osama Warraich Academy, principals of various educational institutions, and respected elders of the district.

In their remarks, the speakers highlighted the importance of extracurricular activities in shaping confident, disciplined, creative, and responsible young individuals. They emphasized that sports and literary activities play a vital role in developing leadership, teamwork, critical thinking, positive competition, and a spirit of mutual respect among students.

This collaborative initiative reflects the commitment of the district administration and concerned departments towards providing our youth with meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, compete, and excel.
