Drug Awareness Seminar Organized by Pakhtunkhwa Youth Assembly and District Youth Affairs Peshawar

Peshawar: The Pakhtunkhwa Youth Assembly, in collaboration with District Youth Affairs Peshawar, organized an awareness seminar titled “A Drug-Free Society: The Role of Youth, Challenges, and Practical Solutions.”

The seminar was attended by assembly representatives and renowned doctors. It aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse, promote preventive measures, and highlight the importance of treatment, rehabilitation, and social reintegration for affected individuals.

Speakers emphasized that drug abuse affects not only individuals but also their families, educational institutions, and society as a whole. They stressed the need for collective efforts by government departments, parents, educational institutions, social organizations, and young people to address this challenge.

The speakers also highlighted the importance of providing people struggling with addiction with proper treatment, psychological support, and rehabilitation opportunities rather than stigma or discrimination.

The seminar concluded with a renewed commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles, positive youth engagement, and a drug-free society. Certificates and shields were also distributed among participants.
