On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Lower Chitral and Director Youth Affairs, an engaging International Youth Day session was organized by the District Youth Office Lower Chitral and Shaheed Osama Warraich Career Academy Chitral Lower, in collaboration with the District Administration Lower Chitral at Town Hall.

The session focused on the theme “Critical Thinking & Soft Skills for the 21st Century”, highlighting the importance of equipping young people with the skills needed to make informed decisions, solve problems, communicate effectively, work in teams, and confidently face the challenges of the modern era.

Mr. Alamgir Bukhari Sb., Guest Speaker, delivered an insightful session on critical thinking and soft skills. He emphasized the importance of questioning assumptions, analyzing situations logically, making responsible decisions, effective communication, teamwork, adaptability, and developing a growth-oriented mindset among young people.

Mr. Shahid Hussain Deo, District Education Officer, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and appreciated the efforts of the organizers for creating a meaningful platform for youth learning and development.

Other prominent speakers and guests, including Mr. Farhad Ullah, District Youth Officer; Mr. Fida Ur Rehman, Director Osama Warraich Career Academy; Mr. Zia Ur Rehman, Social Worker; Ms. Anha Rehman, Young Artist; and young political leaders, shared their valuable views on the importance of youth in nation-building, the challenges faced by young people today, and the need for greater opportunities, skills development, creativity, leadership, and positive engagement.

The interactive session also provided young participants with an opportunity to share their views, ask questions, and discuss practical challenges they face in education, career development, social life, and personal growth.

The event reaffirmed the commitment of the District Youth Office Lower Chitral and its partners to creating opportunities where young people can learn, think critically, develop confidence, discover their potential, and contribute positively to society.
