District Youth Office Lower Kohistan, in collaboration with Rescue 1122, successfully organized a Flood Safety Awareness Session for youth of Madaaris at Madrassa Gulshan Muhammadi Pattan to promote disaster preparedness and community resilience.

The session focused on creating awareness about flood risks, preventive measures, emergency response, evacuation procedures, first aid, and life-saving techniques. Rescue 1122 officials delivered informative presentations and practical guidance, encouraging participants to remain calm, follow safety protocols and support their families and communities during flood emergencies.

The event was graced by Mr. Adeel Hussain Shah, Additional Assistant Commissioner as the Chief Guest. In his address, he appreciated the efforts of the District Youth Office for organizing this timely and important initiative. He emphasized that youth are the backbone of society and when equipped with the right knowledge and skills, can play a vital role in disaster preparedness, emergency response and community awareness.

The participants actively engaged in the session, asked questions and gained valuable knowledge on how to minimize risks and respond effectively during floods.
