Seminar on Professional Identity and Social Media at District Karak

District Youth office Karak successfully organized a one-day seminar today titled "Professional Identity and Social Media: Balancing Visibility and Responsibility." The event brought together faculty and administrative staff for a timely discussion on navigating the complexities of social media in a professional context. It was held in collaboration with the Deputy Commissioner office Karak.

The seminar featured two distinguished speakers Dr. Muhammad Zubair, Director of the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), and Dr. Fasih Ur Rehman, Director of Academics and Research.

Dr. Muhammad Zubair and Dr. Fasih Ur Rehman delivered engaging presentations that delved into the multifaceted aspects of social media use, particularly highlighting both its immense potential and the inherent challenges it presents for professionals. Their talks covered critical themes like, the strategic use of social media for professional visibility and networking.

Understanding and managing one's digital footprint and online identity. Its crucial importance of responsibility and ethical conduct in online interactions and mitigating risks associated with social media, including privacy concerns and reputational damage.

The interactive sessions encouraged lively discussions among the participants, comprising both faculty members and administrative staff, who shared their experiences and sought practical advice on maintaining a professional image in the digital age.

The seminar concluded with a profound address by the esteemed Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Tahir Khalily. In his concluding remarks, Dr. Khalily emphasized the growing significance of digital literacy and responsible online behavior for all members of the university community. He reiterated KKKUK's commitment to fostering a culture of informed and ethical engagement with social media, both for individual professional growth and for upholding the university's reputation.
