1st Science Exhibition at Dir Lower

The 1st Science Exhibition (JMC Level) 2024 was organized by GPGC Timergara in collaboration with District Youth Office Dir Lower at Govt. Postgraduate College, Timergara, for students from 16 government colleges in Lower and Upper Dir. More than 166 students participated from these colleges. The exhibition was formally inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner Dir Lower Mr. Basheer Khan, alongside Prof. Inayatullah, Director, Regional, Directorate of Higher Education, Malakand Prof. Ghulam Zahid Jan, Secretary, BISE , Malakand , DYO Malak Shehzad Tariq, Dr. Saeedullah Jan, Principal GPGC Timergara Prof. Riaz Ullah, Prof. Tariq Ahmad, and Prof. Izhar Zaib, who cut the ribbon to commence the event.

Students from both Upper and Lower Dir showcased impressive models that combined elements of art and science and enriched the exhibition with displays of regional culture. The audience responded enthusiastically, giving high praise to the students for their creativity and effort. Position holders and standout performers were awarded honorary shields and certificates during the prize distribution ceremony.

During their addresses, Prof. Inayatullah and Prof. Dr. Saeedullah Jan emphasized the importance of providing students with opportunities to apply their theoretical knowledge practically, which is essential for meeting the demands and challenges of the modern era. They acknowledged the abundant talent present among the students, highlighting the rich potential of the region and the need for platforms that enable students to display their abilities.

The objectives of the scientific exhibition were aimed at encouraging students and showcasing their talents to the world, with the hope that this exposure will foster recognition of the capabilities of the younger generation. District Youth Officer Malak Shehzad Tariq , Dr. Saeedullah Jan and Prof. Inayatullah presented appreciation awards to the principals of cluster colleges in Lower and Upper Dir, as well as certificates to the event organizers.

In closing, the coordinator of JMC College Dr. Saeedullah Jan expressed gratitude to the District Youth Officer, all the principals, organizers, and students from both male and female colleges for their contributions to the success of the program.
