Director Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dr. Nauman Mujahid Addresses Symposium on Youth Resilience and Violent Extremism Prevention

Dr. Nauman Mujahid Director Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, delivered a keynote address at the two-day symposium on "Youth Resilience and Violent Extremism Prevention: Exploring Diverse Perspectives and Local Solutions." Highlighting the critical role of youth as the largest demographic group in Pakistan, he emphasized the need to adopt a Three C Model as a strategic countermeasure to the Three N Model.

Dr. Nauman Mujahid introduced several key initiatives aimed at youth empowerment, including the globally recognized Ehsaas Naujawan Program, the Chief Minister Internship Program, and upcoming projects such as the Foreign Scholarships Program and IT Skills & Entrepreneurship Programs. These initiatives, he noted, are designed to harness the potential of Pakistan’s youth, who constitute 62% of the population, offering a significant socio-economic advantage.

Additionally, he announced the launch of a research study on violent extremism, building on a foundational study conducted in Syria in 2022. This research will soon be implemented in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to deepen understanding and develop localized solutions to this pressing issue.

Dr. Nauman Mujahid's address underscored the importance of collaborative efforts and innovative approaches to empower the youth and foster resilience against violent extremism.
