Two Day Youth Business Expo at District Dir Lower

Under the Awami agenda of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the District Administration of Dir Lower, in collaboration with the District Youth Office Dir Lower and the Department of Management Sciences , ( IMS ) of Abdul Wali Khan University Timergara Campus, organized the first-ever two-day Youth Business Expo 2024 in the history of Dir Lower. The event was held at Abdul Wali Khan University Timergara Campus for both male and female students.

The expo was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Dir Lower, Mr. Muhammad Arif Khan, along with Dr. Minhajuddin, Coordinator of Abdul Wali Khan University Timergara Campus, Dr. Muhammad Khan, HoD of Management Sciences Department,Mr. Nadeem Khan, Lecturer and Youth Officer Mr. Malik Shahzad Tariq. The ceremony was graced by the presence of renowned businessman Mr. Malik Jahan Alam and other notable business personalities from Dir Lower .

The inaugural ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the playing of Pakistan's national anthem.

During his address, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Muhammad Arif Khan emphasized that under the Awami agenda of the Chief Minister, the district administration is committed to organizing various events aimed at empowering the youth. He stated that we are currently in an era dominated by science, technology, and e-commerce. Deputy Commissioner encouraged students to explore e-commerce and digital marketing opportunities from home. He announced that the district administration would be launching various courses in e-commerce, digital marketing, and skills development with the support of the Youth Office Dir Lower .

He urged students to set personal targets and work diligently towards them, emphasizing the importance of research and innovative business ideas. Additionally, he informed attendees about the provincial government's interest-free loan program for youth under the employment scheme. Mr. Arif Khan encouraged the youth to contribute positively to their country and engage in constructive activities, advising them to limit unnecessary use of social media.

The Deputy Commissioner expressed his gratitude to Youth Officer Malik Shahzad Tariq and the administration of Abdul Wali Khan University Timergara Campus for organizing the Youth Business Expo, noting that such events foster business awareness and attract youth toward entrepreneurial initiatives. He was presented with a traditional white cap and shawl of Dir Lower during the event.

Following the inaugural ceremony, the Deputy Commissioner toured various stalls at the Youth Business Expo, where Youth Officer Mr. Malik Shahzad Tariq provided an overview of the exhibits.
