An awareness Seminar on Prevention of Breast Cancer at District Malakand

Under the public agenda of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and on the special instructions of Deputy Commissioner Malakand Mr. Hamidur Rehman, an awareness seminar was organized at FIMS College regarding "Prevention of Breast Cancer" organized by District Youth Office Malakand and with the support of Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Dargai. In this awareness seminar, Dr. Hina Arshad (DMS THQ) in her useful and informative talk about breast cancer told that 1 out of every 9 women in Pakistan suffer from this disease, reducing its increasing rate. Students and especially young female students can play a very important role in creating and spreading awareness. Dr. Seema Zahir (WMO THQ) informed all the audience about the ways to prevent cancer in young women. She added that early diagnosis of the disease is the only way to prevent it, for which women should regularly self-examine. A large number of students participated in the event, at the end of the seminar, shields and certificates were also distributed among the distinguished guests
