Observance of Women Week at District Dir Lower

In compliance with the directives of the Chief Secretary, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the Deputy Commissioner, Lower Dir, the District Youth Officer, Lower Dir, organized an awareness session on women empowerment at Government Girls Degree College, Timergara, on September 25, 2024.

The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat. Students actively participated by creating charts and delivering speeches on women empowerment, emphasizing women's rights and societal roles.

Chief guests, Prof. Ms. Zuhra and Assistant DC, Ms. Sara Kainat, addressed the audience. Ms. Zuhra expounded on women's rights from an Islamic perspective, highlighting Islam's emphasis on women's empowerment and active participation in society. Ms. Kainat stressed the importance of equal opportunities in education, careers, and leadership for women.

Miss Asmat presented a comprehensive speech outlining societal challenges faced by women and proposing solutions, including education, economic independence, and equal rights.

The session concluded with the distribution of appreciation certificates to participants and presentation of shields and special gifts to the chief guests and distinguished attendees.
